Modern science have discovered ways to nearly eliminate all of the suffering that may be experienced at the end and therefore emphasis must be made on improving palliative care for these persons. Moreover we should learn from the results other countries experienced where euthanasia was introduced. Canada for example reached the figure of 4.5% of all their citizens'deaths from all causes.

When government wanted to facilitate big developers it did so, DZ or ODZ notwithstanding. Strong earthquakes along the Alfeo-Etnea Fault (AEF), which passes closer to Malta, occurred in 1169, 1693 and 1990 off eastern Sicily/Etna and only affected Malta due to their magnitude strength and shallow depth which increases the force by which they are felt some distance away.
