Edward Scicluna should act likewise. The resignation or dismissal of Edward Scicluna from the position of Governor of the Central Bank is necessary for 2 main reasons: 1. Every official who is accused of criminal charges by the Court must follow this route according to standards for persons in public life. 2. Unless he follows this route, he will not be welcomed in any conference of the Governors of the Euro member countries and will be subject to harsh criticism by the European press

latest comment from Barth Pisani, 10/05/2024 16:32: Hold on, hold on all those who are saying that Fearne has done the right thing. Yes, he has, but should he not have done so then, rather than now? Fearne is apparently forgetting that as health minister he had a duty to approve any agreement about the health sector, for which he was directly administratively and politically responsible. He could have refused to accept the agreement and resigned, but he didn't. He had been fully aware the deal must have been irregular, or wrong, so much so that when the hospitals passed over to Steward, he proclaimed the arrangement with Steward was the real deal. Where does that place Fearne? I am sure he is not involved in corruption, but the fact that he had accepted to be responsible for something that was not his doing is not exactly correct either. Was he not duty bound to insist on scrutinising any agreement concerning the operations of hospitals?
