latest comment from Joseph Bugeja, 19/05/2024 10:47: So TMIS which even carries the name of Independent (sic) in it's name has told us about the 'huge' errors our Prime Minister is committing. It starts with the wrong political transfer Norman Vella suffered back in 2014. I don't know the editor of TMIS but I guess he's a seasoned journalist. Did he show the same concern about the injustices so many other people suffered during P.N.'s reign? Did he complain about the last P.N. budget back in 2012/3 when it proposed to reduce income tax to today's level (a reduction we were promised before the P.N. was elected back in 2008 and which was supposed to reduce our taxes in the very first budget)? Hasn't Dr Fearne been arraigned on presumably a €5,000 fraud(!!!) been presumed guilty when he is to lose his prestigious post at the E.U.? Did he write anything when the P.N. left parliament closed for months during the turbulent time involving Dr Franco Debono's protests in parliament. Why is it not fine to criticise the judiciary (and journalists) but healthy when attacking the President (not this one yet), the Prime Minister, the Commissioner of Police and the Attorney General to mention a few? Obviously only independent journalists are intelligent enough to offer us mortals lectures on democracy.
