JM stitched Fearne from his 65% majority and placed his lawyer by manipulating the executive voters 3 days before. Why did JM panic and not want Fearne (his deputy) to replace him? Only then, to make him sign the Vitals contract as negotiated by KM and ordered its signing within hours. Doing so with the knowledge that they were robbing us, effective 3 days after we gave them our vote of trust. So E-Grant fabricated, Vitals and Stewart are the fault of 'the establishment', our journalists are part of the same est, now even our PM is trying to save his arse to the detriment of our Nation's reputation. Its time our PM defends us and our home and harmony. If the timing of the report was issued before an election, it was done in Malta's interest. The electorate have the fundamental right of knowing whether to trust a politician facing criminal charges beforehand and not find out after they voted, without any prior knowledge. So Mr. PM, let the judiciary do its job and if the magisterial inquiry has suspicions of criminal behavior, I'm sure there shows enough evidence to act according to the rule of law, which you yourself lived, enjoyed and must abide by also.

Local Councils are there to submit the resident's proposals for the community and to ask that the Government, with the help of the LC as far as practicable and possible, implements them for the benefit of the locality. It is the government and local councils who are there to serve the community which elects them, not the other way round. All politicians should get this reasoning firmly embedded in the area just above their deaf ears and not transpose roles!

Bet he'd like to after the order from OPM to hurry up and sign off 'their deal'. He was therefore forced to sign the Vitals deal.........Basically, they f**ked him and hung him out to dry for a 2nd time round. Purposely or not, he now faces criminal charges. Had he become PM (as he should have done) I doubt he would be facing the charges imposed on him today. Truthfully, he deserves better. The majority believed in PL and the way they opened the economy for all. Stealing millions from our health services, is shameful towards us all. The party is about to experience the greatest loss in history. I will follow Mr. Fearne and thrown in my towel too. Who votes for PL is voting for such scandalous wrongdoings. What happened to 'Malta L-Ewwel u Qabel Kollox? Even Mintoff would vote against ,again.....

latest comment from Barth Pisani, 10/05/2024 16:32: Hold on, hold on all those who are saying that Fearne has done the right thing. Yes, he has, but should he not have done so then, rather than now? Fearne is apparently forgetting that as health minister he had a duty to approve any agreement about the health sector, for which he was directly administratively and politically responsible. He could have refused to accept the agreement and resigned, but he didn't. He had been fully aware the deal must have been irregular, or wrong, so much so that when the hospitals passed over to Steward, he proclaimed the arrangement with Steward was the real deal. Where does that place Fearne? I am sure he is not involved in corruption, but the fact that he had accepted to be responsible for something that was not his doing is not exactly correct either. Was he not duty bound to insist on scrutinising any agreement concerning the operations of hospitals?
